Taylor furniture is made using the traditional methods of our forefathers. Timber is graded and cut, then stacked outside for air drying. After many months of seasoning the timber is put into computerised kilns to condition it for the stresses of modern day central heating. Timber is then milled to produce furniture parts before entering the cabinet shop for assembly.

Carvers working to traditional designs create these handmade originals before the finishing team patiently and carefully distress each piece. Special processes soften edges and ages the surface to simulate years of wear and tear. The polishing process then builds a beautiful rich patina which is completed by hand to ensure the character of each piece of furniture.
